# Active Users weekly (WAU)

Shows the number of unique users within the last 7 days, starting at the designated day.

The acronym **WAU** means "weekly active users" (which is a common term in the international web analytics community).

This metric can only be used for the dimension "Days".

Further information can be found in the training chapter on [Basic Metrics](/v1/docs/analyses-2-basic-metrics).
