Goal
To archive an active custom attribute.
Background Information
Only Custom Attributes can be archived.
The status Archived means that the attribute is no longer available for use.
Archived attributes are not deleted. They retain their previous values and are saved in the system.
Archived attributes are no longer visible in other functions that reference attributes.
Archives prevent accidental configuration of processes that use outdated information from inactive attributes.
You can use archived attributes to keep a backup of outdated custom attribute information.
When you archive an attribute, Mapp Engage removes the attribute from all selections and personalizations automatically. If you reactivate an attribute, Mapp Engage restores the attribute to its original place in selections and personalizations automatically.
