Changelog

Changes to Mapp Fashion, newest first. The list covers tracking, recommendations, product data and the API. Details on API changes are in the API changelog. New features are also announced in News.

October 2026

Features

• API: Recommended items now include the product ID and the in-stock SKUs. Recommendations can be requested by SKU, and faceted search is available in version 2. See Product IDs, SKUs and Faceted Search in the API and the API changelog. Responses also contain the currency of the prices.

• Smart Pixel: Recommended items contain the in-stock variant IDs, the product ID and the Style ID in style_id, in both formats. In the detailed format, use style_id instead of id to identify products. Faceted search uses a new request format with filters and aggregations. See Smart Pixel Extension Update for Recommendations and Faceted Search. The configuration option useProductIdAsIdentifier no longer has any effect. The extension always reads the Variant ID from the product id. Responses of the item calls also contain currency .

Bug Fixes

• API: Basket recommendations sorted with direction=asc now return results.

• API: Basket recommendations now return an error code instead of an empty list if they cannot be generated, for example 404 if no recommender is configured.

September 2026

Features

• API: Version 2 of the items endpoints. Each recommendation type has its own call, and the product identifier is passed as a parameter. Version 1 remains available. See Version 2 of the Items Endpoints and the API changelog.

• Product data: Derived Attributes describe the trend, style aesthetic, climate or wardrobe role of a product. They are calculated from the enriched attributes and synchronized into the Product Catalog once a day. See Derived Attributes in the Product Catalog.

Features

• Outfits: Products with a shared Set ID form a Fashion Set and are shown together as a pairing, also in post-purchase emails. This requires a Product Catalog in Fashion-enabled mode. See Prioritizing Specific Pairings with Fashion Sets.

• Smart Pixel: Recommendations can be requested directly through the Mapp Fashion extension, including top items and basket items. See Recommendation Items.

• Smart Pixel extension 1.1.1: If the page view is missing, the extension now sends it later.

Features

• API: New call items/basket for curated recommendations based on the products in the basket. See Top Curated Recommendations.

• Smart Pixel extension 1.1.0: New configuration option useProductIdAsIdentifier. If it is set to true, the extension reads the Variant ID (SKU) from the product id instead of the variant parameter. See Mapp Fashion extension and Product and Customer Identifiers.

Features

• Smart Pixel extension 1.0.0: Mapp Fashion tracking runs on the Smart Pixel, so Mapp Intelligence and Mapp Fashion share one tracking setup and no separate Mapp Fashion script is needed. Existing implementations with dressipi.js can switch to the extension. See Migrate from Standalone Tracking to Smart Pixel.

• API: New call items/top for curated recommendations without a starting product. See Top Curated Recommendations.

Bug Fixes

• API: For unknown shoppers and on the first page view, the API used an outdated recommendation model. The current model is now applied.
