# City

**Shows the cities, from which users accessed the website.**

Umlauts are not depicted (example: instead of "ä" the system will show "a").

> The determination is done via the IP address.

Every user is assigned to a fixed dial-in node. Thus, even small cities can create noticeably heavy traffic. If you configured the IP addresses to be deleted completely in the system configuration in the section **Data Collection**, the origin can not be determined.
