Overview
The Content Store Element Settings page allows you to manage metadata and organizational properties of a content store element.
These settings control visibility, lifecycle, ownership, and internal workflow status.
Editable Settings
Name
Defines the internal name of the element.
The name does not need to be unique and can be changed at any time.
If an image is uploaded from a CMS paragraph or HTML email, the system may generate the name automatically based on the file name.
Contributor Email
Defines the responsible author of the element.
The contributor and the owner do not need to be identical.
Due Date
Defines an internal deadline for content delivery.
You can send a reminder email to the contributor.
Visible to Everyone
Controls whether the element is accessible to all system users.
Yes – Visible to all users
No – Restricted visibility
Expiration Date
Defines when the element is automatically deleted from the system.
If Automatic Expiration Date is enabled, the element is deleted 180 days after its last access.
Each access resets the 180-day period.
Status
Defines the internal workflow state of the element.
Available states:
Open
In Progress
Ready
Category
Assigns the element to a category for organizational purposes.
System Information
The Settings page also displays system-generated information that cannot be modified.
This includes:
Content Store ID – Automatically assigned unique identifier. The ID can be used to search for the element within the system.
Owner – The system user who created the element. The owner cannot be changed.
Type – The content type of the element.
Creation Date – The date and time when the element was added.
Encoding – The file encoding (if applicable).
These values are managed automatically by the system.
