# Create a Microsite

This article describes how to create a microsite of any type: general, subscribe, or unsubscribe. For an overview of the microsite types, see [Microsites](/v1/docs/engage-syste-basics-content-microsites).

## Prerequisites

- A microsite framework.
- At least one form block.
- For subscribe and unsubscribe microsites: a subscription group. For details, see [Group Creation: Group Details](/v1/docs/create-new-group-window).
- The permissions to create and publish microsites. For details, see [Microsite Permissions](/v1/docs/microsite-permissions).

## Set Up Link Parameters for Unsubscribe Microsites

Skip this section if you create a general or subscribe microsite.

An unsubscribe microsite needs a unique link for each recipient. The link tells Mapp Engage which contact to unsubscribe from which group. To create this link, add the user ID and the group ID as link parameters in the settings of the subscription group.

> Each subscription group can have only one unsubscribe microsite.

1. In the main navigation, click *Audience > Group Management > Groups*.
2. In the **Actions** column of your subscription group, click **Change Settings**.
3. Click **Tracking & Links**.
4. In the **Link Parameters** section, click **+**.
5. In the **Name for link parameter** field, enter `uid`.
6. Click the **Value for Link Parameter** field, then click **Personalization**. In the **Identifiers** drop-down list, click **User ID**.
7. In the **Link Parameters** section, click **+** again.
8. In the **Name for link parameter** field, enter `gid`.
9. In the **Value for Link Parameter** field, enter `<%group.id%>`.
10. Click **Save**.

## Create the Microsite

1. In the main navigation, click *Content > Microsites*.
2. Click **Create Microsite**.
3. Enter a name for the microsite, then select the framework.
4. Click **Next Step**.
5. Drag your form block from the **Components** panel onto the page. Add further components if needed.
6. Click **Next Step**. To continue later, click **Save as Draft** instead.
7. For subscribe and unsubscribe microsites, select the subscription group.
8. Enter a path for the microsite. The URL below **Path** is the link that you add to your messages.
9. Optional: To publish the microsite at a later date, turn on **Scheduled Publishing** and set the date.
10. Click **Activate**.
