Goal
Create an email that contains both HTML and plain text parts for improved accessibility and deliverability.
Background Information
MIME (Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions) allows you to send emails with both HTML and plain text versions. In Mapp Engage, you create these versions using the HTML and Text tabs in the Compose Email Message window. Engage automatically combines both into a single MIME message and displays the appropriate version based on the contact's preferences or email client settings.
Including a text version is recommended:
It improves accessibility for screen readers.
It can increase deliverability by reducing spam filter flags.
Some contacts prefer or require plain text emails.
Procedure
Go to:
Create New > Message > Email Message > HTML Email, or
Messages > Draft Messages > Email > Edit, or
Messages > Prepared Messages > Email > Edit

In the Email (HTML) tab, enter, paste, or upload your HTML content.
Switch to the Email (Text) tab and enter, paste, or upload your plain text content.
Click Update Draft to save your message, or Prepare Sendout to schedule it.
