In the Main Navigation, click .
Click Create.
Goal
To collect data on visitors to your web pages and related creatives, placements, emails, and other elements in the internet. You specify the visitor data and website data that you want to collect. To ease searches for this data collection, assign one or more labels to the data collection. To structure the data collection into granular patterns of visitor behavior and capture visitor data that matches specific conditions, select the Configure On-Site option.
What can I do in this window?
Assign labels that clearly indicate the purpose this data collection serves or the area for which it collects data.
Specify the visitor interactions that you want to track.
Choose the visitor data and website data you want to capture.
Actions
Action | Description |
---|---|
Pixel Name | Enter a name that clearly reflects the purpose or client for which the pixel collects data. |
Labels | Select an option from the drop-down list. Or enter the name of the label you want to create in the field. It appears in a drop-down list. Select it to create it and enter it into the input field. Choose labels that provide a meaningful overview of your data collection. |
Interaction Tracking | Specify the type of visitor interaction you want to track.

User Data | Specify the data you want to collect for each visitor to your website.

Website Data | Specify the website data that you want to collect for each visitor to your website.
|
Configure On-Site | Opens the Configure On-Site window in which you add custom events and custom success events to structure the data that is collected for this pixel. |
Save and Export | Saves your entries and opens the Export window. |
Cancel | Cancels your entries, after an additional confirmation question. |
PII: To Collect or Not to Collect
When you collect unhashed email, visitor details, or web form input, it can result in the collection of personally identifiable information (PII). As a client of Mapp, you are responsible for compliance with all applicable privacy legislation. Keep in mind that privacy legislation is country-specific and can differ from country to country.
