# Date Picker in Mapp Engage

| Criterion | Description |
| --- | --- |

| **Specific Date Range** | Allows you to select a specific time range. By providing two dates, you can include (or exclude) entire days or specify the time boundaries. Open boundaries can be used both for "From" and "To": - **Any time after**, or - **Any time before** The preview at the bottom shows and displays a warning in case the Time Range is invalid. | **Relative Date** | Allows you to pick a specific day without providing a calendar date. Instead, you can make the date dependent on when the selection is executed. There are three different options: - **Before**: Choose how many days, weeks, months, or years before the run your contact took an action. The checkbox "Ignore year" allows skipping the year information. - **On Run**: Current day. If you check the "Ignore year" box, this day every year will be selected, also in the future. - **After**: Choose how many days, weeks, months, or years after the run your contact takes an action. | **Relative Date Range** | Allows you to select the time interval that is related to the moment in which the selection is executed. There are two options available here: **Before Run defines the time range in the past that was related to the moment of the selection run.** - Boundary "From" can be defined as: - Any time before the boundary "To" (open boundary), or - The specific number of minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, or years before the run. - Boundary "To" can be defined as: - The specific number of minutes, hours, days, weeks, months or years before the run, or - The moment when the selection is executed. **After Run works with future time intervals.** - Boundary "From" can be defined as: - The moment when the selection is executed, or - The specific number of minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, or years after the run. - Boundary "To" can be defined as: - The specific number of minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, or years after the run, or - Any moment after the boundary "From" (open boundary).![](https://cdn.document360.io/554b9b98-6720-4d8b-9919-c7b203d72648/Images/Documentation/29d6cff0-5f5f-40f7-adbb-48d3a216ea13.png) |
