The records are deleted permanently. The data cannot be restored. A time-based automation automatically deletes related data records that are 1 year old. In the ​Automation​ area, create a new whiteboard 2. Drag a **​Time​** module and a ​**Time-based job**​ module onto the whiteboard. 3. Drag and drop between the ![](https://cdn.document360.io/554b9b98-6720-4d8b-9919-c7b203d72648/Images/Documentation/b9dcc6e1-aeee-40b8-9dd0-25f7953f8e41.png) symbols to connect the modules as shown above. 4. Define the module settings as follows: **Time module** | Field | Entry | | --- | --- | | Name | Enter a name for the module. | | Date | ​Recurring Date​ | | Time | Here you define the schedule you need. | | Period | Week(s) | | Value | 1 | **Time-based Job Module** | Field | Entry | | --- | --- | | Name | Enter a name for the module. | | Job | [​Related Data: Delete Records​](/v1/docs/related-data-delete-records) | | Related Data Set | This drop-down list defines the related data set. | | Delete After (Days) | This input field defines the number of days after which related data is deleted. This field only accepts numerical values between 1 and 365. | 5. Click **​Next​**. 6. Define the desired time frame and notifications. 7. Click **​Activate​** to immediately activate the whiteboard. Only active whiteboards are executed by the system. ⇒ The whiteboard is saved and activated. The automation has the status **​Running​** if the start date is immediate and **​Scheduled​** if the start date is in the future.
