# Managing Group Ownership

## Goal

Change a group's owner, or log in as a group owner to review that owner's permission settings and available functions.

---

## Changing the Group Owner

Depending on the group configuration, the group owner has specific rights. For example, the owner can receive automated notifications from the group. If a group owner leaves the company or changes roles, you can assign a new owner to ensure continued access and responsibility.
