# Create and Generate a Coupon Export

## Goal

Export information about coupon usage, including recipients and assigned coupon codes, using a reusable export template.

## Background Information

Coupon exports in Engage are based on templates that define which data is included and where the file is delivered.

Templates can be reused and generated manually.

## Procedure

1. Go to *Data Management > Exports* and click **Create**.
2. In the **Type** step:
  - Select **Sendout Details for Coupons** as the export type.
  - Enter a name and optionally a description.
3. In the **Timeframe** step:
  - Define the period to be exported.
  - Choose a relative or absolute timeframe (up to 365 days).
4. In the **Parameters** step:
  - Select the relevant **Coupon Lists**.
5. In the **Data** step:
  - Choose the fields to include in the export, e.g. **Email Address**, **Coupon Code**, or **Message Name**.
6. In the **Export Configuration** step:
  - Set the **File Format**, **Encoding**, and **File Name**.
  - Choose a **Delivery Destination**, such as **SFTP** or **Amazon S3**.
7. In the **Summary** step:
  - Review your settings and click **Save** to create the export template.
8. To generate the export manually, click the **Generate Export** icon next to your saved template.
