# Generate Exports Manually

### Goal

Run an export on demand and deliver the file to the configured destination without waiting for a scheduled execution.

> Important
> 
> Export generation is asynchronous. Depending on the data volume, processing may take several minutes.
> 
> If the file does not appear at the destination, verify the export configuration and server settings.

### Procedure

1. Go to *Data Management > Exports*.
2. Locate the export you want to run.

The system begins generating the export file and uploads it to the configured server location.

### When to Use Manual Generation

Use manual generation when you need to:

- Access data immediately
- Validate a new export configuration
- Run an export outside its regular schedule

For recurring exports, configure an automation in [Whiteboards](/v1/docs/generate-export) or [Automation](/v1/docs/job-generate-export), depending on which orchestration tool your system uses.
