ou can change the header image of a mailing only if the message has not yet been sent.
There are two common ways the header image may be changed:
Change the image reference in the message HTML
If you want to use a different image, edit the HTML content of the message and update the relevant img src URL.
The image URL can point to either:
an image hosted by Mapp in the Content Store
an image hosted on an external site
After you save the HTML content, the message will use the updated image reference.
Replace the image at the existing URL
If you keep the same img src URL but replace the image file stored at that location, the new image may not appear immediately because of caching.
This can happen in the following places:
your web browser
Mapp image hosting and caching
an external image hosting service
Check browser caching
If you are viewing the message in a browser, the browser may still display an older cached version of the image.
Clear the browser cache or reload the page in a way that forces the browser to request the image again. This confirms whether the issue is only local browser caching.
If “Images are hosted by Engage” is enabled
If the option Images are hosted by Engage is selected, Engage may temporarily serve a cached version of the original image.
In most cases, this cache refreshes automatically. If the updated image is still not shown after a reasonable check, contact Mapp Technical Support.
If images are not hosted by Engage
If images are not hosted by Engage, Mapp does not host or cache them. The message uses the original image URLs defined in the HTML.
If the image is hosted in the Mapp Content Store, changes should normally appear immediately.
If the image is hosted outside Mapp, check with your image hosting provider to confirm that:
the image at the URL was actually replaced
the hosting service is not serving a cached version
the image URL is still publicly accessible
If the image still does not update as expected, contact Support.
