# Shopify

## Introduction

The Mapp Cloud app connects your Shopify store with Mapp Engage. It synchronizes store data to Engage so you can use it for segmentation, messaging, and automation.

## What the app can do

- Synchronize customer, order, and product data from Shopify to Mapp Engage.
- Add customers and subscribers to Engage groups automatically.
- Replace Shopify's transactional emails (order confirmations, refunds, cancellations) with Engage messages. Requires Shopify Plus.
- Trigger abandoned cart recovery.
- Keep subscription status in sync when a contact unsubscribes in Shopify.
- Run a one-time initial import to populate Engage with existing customers, transactions, and products.
