# Manage Coupon Lists

## Goal

Import, archive, delete, or reassign coupon codes in Mapp Engage.

## Import Coupons Into a List

To populate a coupon list with codes:

1. Click **Import** next to the desired list.
2. Choose the **validation type**:
  - *Coupon Codes* (for alphanumeric codes)
  - *Barcodes* (for scannable image generation)
3. (If applicable) Select the **barcode type** from the dropdown.
4. Click **Browse** to select your import file. The file must contain one code per line, in a single column, with no header row — this applies whether the validation type is set to *Coupon Codes* or *Barcodes*. See [Import Coupons](/v1/docs/import-coupons-window) for the full format description.
5. Choose the **file type**:
  - *TXT* (plain text)
  - *CSV* (with defined separator and encoding)
6. Select the **import mode**:
  - *Add*: Append new codes to the list.
  - *Replace*: Overwrite all existing codes.
  - *Delete*: Remove codes listed in the file.
7. Click **Import**.

You will receive a system message with the import status.

> Import is blocked during active sendouts using *Replace* or *Delete* mode.

> [!WARNING]
> Note
> 
> If a message sendout was paused because there were not enough coupons available, you can resume it after importing additional coupons.
> 
> Go to *Messages > Outbox > Email*, filter by Interrupted, and click Resume next to the affected sendout.

## Archive, Reactivate, or Delete a Coupon List

You can archive a coupon list to remove it from active use. Deletion is only possible after archiving.

### Archive a Coupon List

1. Select the list(s) you want to archive.
2. Click **Archive**.
3. Switch the view to **Archived** using the *Show* filter to review archived lists.

> [!NOTE]
> Coupons in archived lists can still be used in ongoing scheduled messages until they run out.

### Reactivate an Archived Coupon List

Archived lists can be reactivated to make them available for new sendouts.

1. Set the **Show** filter to **Archived**.
2. Select the list(s) you want to reactivate.
3. Click **Reactivate**.

Reactivated lists are now shown under **Active**.

### Delete an Archived Coupon List

1. Set the *Show* filter to **Archived**.
2. Select the list(s) you want to delete.
3. Click **Delete** and confirm the prompt.

> ⚠️ All associated data is permanently removed.

## Change the Owner of a Coupon List

1. Click the **Owner** icon next to the list.
2. Use the search to find the new owner.
3. Select the user and click **Transfer Ownership**.
