# Mapp Engage: Android SDK (6.0.24)

**05 Sep 2024**We've updated our Mapp Engage Android SDK.

This update includes a critical bug fix for the **geofencing functionality**, which is part of the **Mobile Push channel** in Mapp Engage. Geofencing allows you to send mobile push messages when users enter or leave a specified [location](/v1/docs/location-management).

To ensure location-based push messages work correctly, please update to version 6.0.24. This functionality will not operate in previous versions.
