# Mapp Engage: Content Store Image Upload Limits

**15 Aug 2019** To support best practices in email sendouts, Mapp has introduced stricter limits to the image sizes that Mapp Engage customers can upload. Effective immediately, all Mapp customers have a 1 MB upload limit for images. This size exceeds the recommended size of image data per email, which is between 600kb and 800kb.

## Key Benefits

- Faster sendouts.
- Easier download of images for the end user.
- Prevention of server load problems that affect performance.

## How Does This Affect You?​

- This upload limit does not affect most customers since most images are under 1 MB.
- If your images are over 1 MB, you can use an image compressor to improve your end-user experience.
