# Mapp Engage: React Native Plugin 1.2.0

**3 December 2024**: We’re excited to announce the release of **Mapp Engage React Native Plugin****—Version 1.2.0**, which brings new features, bug fixes, and updated dependencies for enhanced functionality and stability.

## **What’s New**

1. **New Feature:**
  - **Channel Updates**: You can now update channels seamlessly within an existing mobile application.
2. **Bug Fixes:**
  - **In-App Message Status**: In-App messages are now properly marked with the correct status.
  - **Non-Null Specifiers**: Missing non-null specifiers have been added to improve code robustness.
  - **Geofencing Fixes**: Resolved a bug that previously prevented the geofencing feature from functioning as expected.
3. **Dependency Updates:**
  - **Native SDKs**
    - **Android SDK**: Updated from 6.0.23 to 6.0.25.
    - **iOS SDK**: Updated from 6.0.7 to 6.0.8.
  - **React Native and Android Dependencies**
    - **React Native**: Upgraded from 0.69.4 to 0.75.2.
    - **Android Dependencies**:
      - `androidx.appcompat:appcompat`: 1.6.1 → 1.7.0
      - `androidx.lifecycle:lifecycle-viewmodel`: 2.7.0 → 2.8.3
      - `com.google.firebase:firebase-bom`: 32.7.4 → 33.6.0
      - `com.google.android.gms:play-services-location`: 21.2.0 → 21.3.0
      - `androidx.constraintlayout:constraintlayout`: 2.1.4 → 2.2.0
      - `androidx.webkit:webkit`: 1.10.0 → 1.12.1
      - `androidx.work:work-runtime`: 2.9.0 → 2.9.1
      - `androidx.concurrent:concurrent-futures`: 1.1.0 → 1.2.0

## Availability

The newest version was released on December 3rd, 2024. You need to [update to the latest version](https://github.com/mapp-digital/Mapp-Engage-ReactNative-Plugin/releases/tag/1.2.0) to use this new feature.
