# Mapp Engage: Segment Connector

**04 Aug 2020** With Mapp Engage, you can now use the new [Segment](http://www.segment.com/) connector. Collect and exchange event data from your mobile apps, websites, and servers with one standardized API. Pull and push data from and to Mapp Engage to build a unified picture of your customers.

## Getting Started

> One customer can have one Mapp Cloud instance connected to multiple different Segment connectors (different mappings and/or data sources). Each data source has to have its own connector configured in Mapp Cloud. If you want the contact profile updates processed through this connector to trigger the **Profile Changed** event in Whiteboard, check the **Trigger Whiteboard automations on user mapping attributes change** box.
