During sendout, Mapp Engage replaces each variable with a link that is specific to the contact. Most system links are available in an HTML and a Text variant. Use the variant that matches the part of the message, and use the Text variants in SMS messages. You can change the text around a variable. Do not change the variable itself. --- ## Available System Links | Variable | Inserted code | Description | | --- | --- | --- | | **Profile Edit Link** | `<%syslink_profile_edit url='/public/profile_edit.jsp'%>` | Link to a page where contacts edit their profile data. The variable inserts only the address. In HTML emails, place it in a link, for example `<a href="<%syslink_profile_edit url='/public/profile_edit.jsp'%>">Edit your profile</a>`. | | **Read Message Online - HTML** | `<a href="<%syslink_message_read url='/public/read_message.jsp'%>">here</a>` | Sentence with a link to the online version of the email. Contacts need group permission 606 **Messaging: View Messages Online**. See [Insert a Read Online Link](/v1/docs/insert-a-read-online-link). | | **Read Message Online - Text** | `<%syslink_message_read url="/public/read_message.jsp"%>` | Sentence with the address of the online version, for text emails. | | **Read Message Online - Mobile/HTML**, **Read Message Online - Mobile/Text** | As above, with the additional parameter `device='mobile'` | Link to the version of the email that is optimized for mobile devices. See [Create a Mobile Version of an Email](/v1/docs/create-a-mobile-version-of-an-email). | | **Forward Message - HTML**, **Forward Message - Text** | `<%syslink_forward url='/public/forward_message.jsp'%>` (in the HTML variant inside a link) | Link to a page on which contacts forward the message through Mapp Engage. Each contact can forward a message a maximum of 10 times within 24 hours. See [Insert a Link to Forward an Email Message](/v1/docs/insert-a-link-to-forward-an-email-message). | | **Unsubscribe Link - HTML** | `<a href="<%unsubscribe_link_text%>">` | Link to the page on which contacts unsubscribe from the group. | | **Unsubscribe Link - Text** | `<%unsubscribe_link%>` | Address of the unsubscribe page, for text emails and SMS. | --- ## Tracking Mapp Engage tracks clicks on system links only if the **Track System Links** option is enabled in the group settings. See [Group Creation: Tracking & Links](/v1/docs/tracking-links-tab). Mapp Engage can only track system links in the format that the panel inserts. If you change the variable, the click is not tracked. Tracked clicks appear in the link statistics of the message.
