The goal is to ensure a smooth and structured transition from setup to launch, aligning technical configuration and business objectives. Steps may vary slightly depending on your use cases and data readiness, but the general flow remains the same. Mapp will guide you through every step of the onboarding process and provide dedicated support to ensure a seamless setup. Your active involvement is essential, as certain steps require data, assets, and access from your side in the correct format. Close collaboration helps keep everything on track and efficient. --- ## 1. Prerequisites Before onboarding begins, ensure that all foundational elements relevant to your use case are in place. This will ensure that data and integrations can be implemented without delay. For a detailed list of prerequisites, visit [Prerequisites for Mapp Fashion Onboarding](/v1/docs/mapp-fashion-prerequisites). --- ## 2. Onboarding Phases ### 2.1 Preparation In this phase, Mapp establishes the groundwork for your Mapp Fashion setup. We’ll verify your environment setup and domain configuration, where applicable, ensuring everything is ready for technical deployment. Key focus areas: - Domain configuration or delegation (if relevant to the use case) - Environment readiness --- ### 2.2 Configuration This step builds the foundation of your Mapp Fashion infrastructure. Here, we’ll connect all data sources, tracking mechanisms, and product feeds, ensuring that information flows seamlessly between your systems and Mapp’s platform. This includes configuring: - Customer journey tracking - Product and transaction feeds - Product recommendations By the end of this stage, your data and tracking ecosystem will be fully integrated and aligned with your business goals. --- ### 2.3 Use Case Setup Once your data foundation is in place, we activate the use cases you have selected. Each use case has steps on our side and steps on yours: | Use case | What Mapp does | What you do | | --- | --- | --- | | [Enriched Product Attributes](/v1/docs/mapp-fashion-use-case-enriched-product-attributes) | Stylists, supported by machine-learning models, label your products. Derived attributes are calculated from these labels. | Use the enriched attributes from the Product Catalog, for example in onsite search, filters or product feeds for ads. | | [Personalized Outfits](/v1/docs/mapp-fashion-use-case-outfits) | Stylists define the styling logic for your brand. | Show outfits with the hosted widget, the Smart Pixel or the API. For the hosted widget, you also provide design assets and a container element. | | [Similar Items](/v1/docs/mapp-fashion-use-case-similar-items) | The Recommender Team defines the similarity logic. | Show similar items with the hosted widget, the Smart Pixel or the API. For the hosted widget, you also provide design assets and a container element. | | [Top Curated Recommendations](/v1/docs/mapp-fashion-use-basket-based-recommendations) | Mapp enables the recommendation model. | Request top items or basket items with the Smart Pixel or the API and show them in your frontend. | | [Themed Emails](/v1/docs/mapp-fashion-use-case-themed-emails) [BAU Emails](/v1/docs/mapp-fashion-use-case-bau-emails) | The Style Team defines the themes and product sets with you. The Creative Team designs the image layouts. | Embed the links that Mapp provides in your email templates. | | [Outfit Emails](/v1/docs/mapp-fashion-use-case-outfit-emails) | Mapp configures the styling rules and outfit templates. The Creative Team designs the image layouts. | Embed the links in your post-purchase email template. Your email tool fills in the send ID, the SKU of the purchased item and the customer ID. | If you show recommendations in your own frontend, also set up [Recommendation Tracking](/v1/docs/recommendation-tracking-fashion) so that clicks are recorded. For where each use case appears and which pages document its implementation, see [Use Cases and How to Implement Them](/v1/docs/mapp-fashion#use-cases-and-how-to-implement-them). --- ### 2.4 Testing and Go-Live Before launch, Mapp conducts end-to-end validation to confirm all systems and experiences work as expected. This ensures data accuracy, correct tracking, and smooth operation of all widgets and integrations. Pre-launch validation includes: - Confirming data feeds and tracking implementation - Testing widgets - Ensuring visual and email experiences align with design standards Once verified, your Mapp Fashion experience is ready to go live. ## Related - [Prerequisites for Mapp Fashion Onboarding](/mapp-fashion-prerequisites.md)
