Mapp Fashion: Smart Pixel Extension Update for Recommendations

14 October 2026 The Mapp Fashion extension for the Smart Pixel now passes on the new identifiers from today’s API release and uses the version 2 format for faceted search. The update is loaded automatically. If your implementation reads items in the detailed format or uses faceted search, check the changes below.

Key Benefits

  • Stock and product information for recommended items

    Recommended items now contain the in-stock variant IDs and the product ID.

  • One format for faceted search

    The Smart Pixel call now uses the same filters and facet counts as version 2 of the API.

How Does it Work?

  • New fields: available_variant_ids lists the in-stock variant IDs of each item, and product_id contains the product ID. Both are returned in the simple and in the detailed format. Items in the simple format now also contain style_id. For all fields, see the response description in Recommendation Items.

  • Faceted search: Filters are passed as an object in filters, and the facets to count are listed in aggregations. The facets list is no longer used. The response contains currency and the counts for the requested facets. For the new request format, see Faceted Search.

Warning

If your code identifies products by id in the detailed format, switch to style_id. id no longer contains your product code there. If you use faceted search, change your request to the new format. Both changes take effect with the update.

Availability

The update is loaded automatically for all Mapp Fashion customers who use the Smart Pixel extension. You do not need to change the script. For the retrieval calls and their response format, see Recommendation Items.
