    Article summary

05 September 2024 We changed the format of the “Date of First Occurrence“ dimensions to simplify the filtering process and enhance the overall usability.

Date of First occurrence” provides the time an object was first measured.

    What’s new?

    1. Time Format Update
The “Date of …” dimensions are now displayed in the Date (Day DD-MM-YYYY) format, instead of DD-MM-YYYY hh:mm:ss

    2. Enhanced Filtering

The filter configuration has been updated with the new Days (DD-MM-YYYY) format. With this update, you can once again select “equal” as a predicate, which is now the default setting.

    Why This Change?

Previously, the “Date of …” dimensions provided the exact time an object was first measured, down to the second. While this level of detail was useful for debugging and very specific analyses, it posed challenges for more common use cases.

Most of our users require a simpler grouping by day, enabling them to group data, such as pages, by the day they first appeared. This change not only simplifies the filtering process—allowing you to easily select a day or a date range — but also enhances the overall usability.

Show Pages including Date, Tracked for the First Time

To see the pages that have been tracked for the first time on each day, you can create a pivot table by adding two dimensions to an analysis:

    • Date of first occurrence Pages

    • Pages

Add the metric “Page Impressions, Unique” to make sure that each page only counts once.
