Mapp Intelligence: Google Tag Manager Template 1.4.0

13 May 2025 Version 1.4.0 of our Google Tag Manager (GTM) plugin for Mapp Intelligence is now available. It features a bug fix and two notable adjustments to tag configuration behavior.

What’s new?

• Removed Option: The ability to include the Mapp Acquire script within the template has been removed to streamline the configuration and reduce redundancy.

• New Default Behavior: A new default behavior was introduced to improve event tracking: if an event is configured without a name, the system now automatically assigns the name NoEventNameGiven. This resolves previous issues where unnamed events could lead to execution problems or data inconsistencies.

How to Get It

To update, go to the Templates section in your Google Tag Manager account, locate the Mapp Cloud Template, and click the update icon in the overview. Follow the provided instructions to complete the update.

Availability

This update was rolled out on May 13, 2025. To benefit from the latest changes, please manually update the Mapp Cloud template within your GTM environment.
