When enabled, the Mapp Engage `dmcUserID` is shared with Mapp Intelligence, so a user is recognized in both products. This unlocks more precise targeting via mobile push or in-app messages. Before you start, complete the [Quickstart](/v1/docs/mapp-intelligence-ios-sdk-v5-quickstart) so the SDK is initialized. --- ## Technical requirements - Mapp Intelligence iOS SDK 5.0.4 or later - Mapp Engage SDK 5, 6, or later - Anonymous tracking is **not** active > [!WARNING] > **Note:** User matching does not work while [Anonymous Tracking](/v1/docs/mapp-intelligence-ios-sdk-v5-anonymous-tracking) is enabled. The two are mutually exclusive. --- ## Property | Property | Description | Default | | --- | --- | --- | | `enableUserMatching` (BOOL) | When `true`, the SDK shares the Engage `dmcUserID` with Mapp Intelligence so that the user is known in both products. | `false` | --- ## Example **Swift** **Enable user matching:** ```swift MappIntelligence.shared()?.enableUserMatching = true ``` **Disable user matching:** ```swift MappIntelligence.shared()?.enableUserMatching = false ``` **Objective-C** **Enable user matching:** ```objectivec [[MappIntelligence shared] setEnableUserMatching:YES]; ``` **Disable user matching:** ```objectivec [[MappIntelligence shared] setEnableUserMatching:NO]; ``` --- ## Related - [Quickstart](/v1/docs/mapp-intelligence-ios-sdk-v5-quickstart) - [Anonymous Tracking](/v1/docs/mapp-intelligence-ios-sdk-v5-anonymous-tracking) - [Get the User Ever ID](/v1/docs/mapp-intelligence-ios-sdk-v5-get-user-ever-id)
