New versions of the Mapp Intelligence server-to-server libraries for Java, PHP and Node.js are available. They deliver your tracking data more reliably, protect hybrid tracking against manipulated requests and support the new registration fields for Mapp Engage.
Summary of changes
Reliable delivery: Tracking requests are no longer lost or sent twice, and a request that the tracking server rejects no longer holds up the requests behind it.
Safer hybrid tracking: The libraries ignore IP addresses and user agents sent from the browser, so manipulated requests can no longer falsify this data.
Campaigns: Campaigns are detected from the URL of the requested page and can be counted once per session, as in browser-based tracking.
Mapp Engage: You can pass the language, country and time zone of a user at registration. See Language, Country and Time Zone for Engage Registrations.
Before you update
Some changes affect existing setups. For example, the Node.js library now requires Node.js 18 or newer. Check the upgrade notes in the changelog of your library before you update.
