# Mapp Intelligence: Web Tracking Updates

The latest Smart Pixel release introduces two changes. These also apply to the integrations built on it.

## Summary of changes

- A new identifier groups all variants of a product, regardless of color or size. It is required only when products are identified by variant, as with the [Mapp Cloud Product Catalog](https://docs.mapp.com/docs/connect-product-catalog). Setups that already identify products by a single product-level ID are not affected.
- Link clicks that open a new browser tab are now tracked. As these clicks were not captured before, the number of tracked link clicks can increase, which affects click-based metrics.
