# Prepared Messages

Prepared messages are reusable email and SMS messages that support automated and recurring communication. They can be used in time-based or event-based Whiteboard workflows, reused for scheduled or repeated sendouts, and serve as templates for system messages. Prepared messages also enable cross-sendout analysis by allowing segments to be built on recipient behavior, such as opens, clicks, and conversions, across all past and future sendouts.
