    General Information​

    This window displays the scheduled and sent email messages in your system. You can also see messages that Mapp Engage is processing.

    Permissions

    The following permissions may be relevant:

    1. Permission 602 Messaging: Moderate messages - to moderate messages.

    2. Permission 605 ​Messaging: View Sent Messages​ - to see the messages.

    3. Permission 608 Messaging: View Message Statistics - to see the KPIs and a link to statistics.

    4. Permission 618 ​Messaging: Schedule Message Sendout​ - to reschedule a message.

    What can I do in this window?

    • View, copy, archive, and delete messages.

    • Cancel, pause, or resume some types of sendouts.

    • Edit the links in an email message, even after sendout.

    • Approve or reject moderated messages.

    • Navigate to the SMS tab.

    This window does not display system or group messages sent with an automation.

    Information on the overview page

    Column

    Description

    Group Name

    Displays the sendout group name. For emails, the email address of the group is also shown.

    Email

    This shows the sendout group's email address. It is not necessarily the "From" address seen by contacts, which is available in the Details section.

    Subject

    Displays the subject line of the email, visible to contacts in their inbox.

    Name

    Internal message name used in Mapp Engage, not visible to contacts.

    ID

    Unique message ID assigned by Mapp Engage upon creation.

    Sendout

    This shows the start date and time of the message sendout. The Details section provides additional details about the sendout duration.

    Author

    Displays the name of the system user who created the message.

    Confirmed Open Rate

    Available only for email messages. For group messages, it divides unique confirmed openers by accepted messages (based on pixel render or link click). For single messages, it divides opened messages by accepted messages.

    CTR

    Click-Through Rate (CTR), available for email messages. For group messages, it shows the number of recipients who clicked links divided by accepted messages. For single messages, CTR equals the number of clicks divided by accepted messages.

    Type

    Specifies the message sendout type:

    • Group Message – Sent to most or all group members.

    • Single Message – Sent to an individual contact via automation (not API).

    • Split Sendout – Sends variations of a message to a portion of the group for testing.

    • SuperMessage – Contains multiple sub-messages sent to different subgroups.

    • Submessage – Created from a SuperMessage for a specific subgroup.

    Status

    Displays the current status of the message sendout:

    • Scheduled – Planned for future sendout.

    • Moderated – Awaiting approval.

    • Rejected – Rejected by a moderator.

    • In Processing – Preparing messages for sendout.

    • Interrupted – Temporarily stopped.

    • Cancelled – Permanently stopped, cannot be resumed.

    • Sent – Completed sendout.

    • Ready – Ready for sendout.

    • Failed – System error caused failure; can be restarted.

    • Processed – Prepared for transport, awaiting delivery.

    • In Transport – Delivery in progress with the Transport Acceleration feature.

    Actions on the overview page

    Action

    Description

    View Message​

    Opens the Message Preview window to view the message, check personalizations, and send test versions.

    Copy

    Allows you to create a copy of a message that has already been sent. For more information, see Copy a Sent Message.

    ​Edit​

    This option opens the Message Creation wizard to modify the message. It is only available for scheduled messages and cannot be used once the sendout is finished.

    ​Edit Links​

    This allows changing the destination URL of links in sent messages. It requires group permission 623. System and personalized links cannot be changed. For more information, see Edit Links (window).

    ​View Statistics​

    Opens the Message Statistics window to review the message's performance.

    ​Reschedule​

    This option allows you to change the scheduled sendout time for future messages, excluding split variants. You can do this anytime before the sendout begins. For more information, see Schedule Message (window).

    ​Cancel​

    Immediately stops a sendout. Canceled messages in Scheduled, Processed or Paused status are moved to the appropriate overview windows.

    ​Pause​

    This interrupts the sendout. Once a task package is processed, the remaining packages are paused. If used on a split message, it applies to the entire split sendout.

    ​Resume​

    Resumes a paused sendout from where it was interrupted. If applicable, this applies to all messages in a split sendout.

    ​Delete Split Sendout/​Cancel Split Sendout​

    Deletes or cancels a split sendout, affecting all variants and the main message. Canceled sendouts cannot be rescheduled.

    ​Approve​/Reject​

    Opens the Moderate Message window for approving or rejecting moderated messages. Requires group permission 602.

    This area provides additional information about the selected message. Different information is available for group or single messages.

    ​External Message ID​

    Displays the external message ID, which is added to links during sendout. This ID helps track performance in external systems like web analytics or eCommerce.

    ​From Address​

    The address shown in the recipient’s inbox, which can differ from the group email address. Defined in the group settings.

    ​Size​

    Estimated size of the message based on a personalized standard message. Actual size may vary per individual message.

    Displays the message category, a keyword used to organize and identify related messages.

    ​Attachments​

    Lists any attachments sent with the email message.

    ​Processing Start​

    Displays the start time for message processing, which can begin up to 72 hours before transfer.

    ​Processing End​

    Shows when message processing is finished. If empty, the processing is still in progress.

    ​Duration​

    Displays how long message processing took. If empty, processing has not started.

    ​Transport Start​

    Shows when message transport began, as defined during message creation.

    Displays when message transport is finished. If empty, transport is not yet complete.

    ​Group Size​

    Displays the number of active group members at the time of sendout. This does not account for blacklisted addresses.

    ​Selection​

    Shows the selection filter applied to the message, if any, which targets specific contacts. If no selection was applied, this field remains empty.

    ​Skipped​

    This displays the number of skipped messages that were filtered out before sendout (e.g., due to deactivated addresses). Specific reasons are available in Statistics.

    Total number of messages sent by Mapp Engage’s MTA.

    ​Hard Bounces​

    Shows the number of hard bounces where messages were permanently rejected by the receiving server (e.g., non-existent email address).

    Displays the number of messages accepted by the recipient’s MTA, including those delivered to spam or junk folders.

    Shows the number of unique recipients who opened the message (via tracking pixel or link click). Available for group messages only.

    Displays the number of unique recipients who clicked any link in the message. Available for group messages only.

    Shows the number of unique recipients who completed a defined conversion (e.g., a purchase). Available for group messages only.

    Description

    ​Main Sendout Criteria​

    Displays the criteria used to evaluate message performance and select the main sendout. These criteria are defined during the creation of the split sendout.

    ​Date Sent (Main Sendout)​

    Shows the date and time when the main sendout started.

    ​Number of Variations​

    Displays the number of message variations in the split test and the percentage of the group that received a split variant. Excludes the main sendout.

    % of Group Size

    Shows the percentage of the group that received a split sendout.

    ​Attribute for Uniform Distribution​

    This displays the attribute used for uniform distribution in the split sendout. If no attribute was used, it shows "Random" to indicate the random selection of group members.

    Here are the options to customize the page view.

    ​Show​

    Filters sendouts displayed in the overview:

    • Active – All non-archived sendouts (test and real).

    • Test Sendouts – All non-archived test sendouts.

    • Non-Test Sendouts – All non-test, non-archived sendouts.

    • Archived – All archived entries.

    ​Filter ​

    Filters entries based on selected criteria. Multiple filters can be applied simultaneously.

    ​Remove Filter​

    Clears all filters and shows all available entries.

    ​Visible Rows​

    Adjusts the number of rows displayed per page.

    Pagination Arrows

    Navigate to the next or previous page of results when not all entries fit on one page.

    ​Select All​

    Selects all visible entries on the current page.

    ​Archive​

    Archives selected entries. Archived entries cannot be used but remain stored in the system. Only sent or canceled messages can be archived.

    ​Delete​

    Deletes selected entries after confirmation.

    ​Reactivate​

    This function reactivates archived entries, allowing the message to be restarted or used as a template for future sendouts. It is only visible for archived entries.
