# Group-Wide Contact Reactivation

## Goal

Reactivate one or more deactivated contacts within a specific group.

## Prerequisites

- Permission to manage contacts in the relevant group
- System-wide reactivation may require additional system-level permissions

If required options are not available, contact your administrator.

## Procedure

You can reactivate contacts in two ways:

- **Single contact**
- **All contacts within the same response category**

### Reactivate a single contact

1. Navigate to *Audience > Deactivated*.
2. Select the desired group.
3. Open the response category that contains the contact.
4. Locate the contact and click **Reactivate**.
5. Confirm the group-level reactivation.
6. Optionally confirm **system-wide reactivation**.

### Reactivate all contacts in a response category

1. Navigate to *Audience > Deactivated*.
2. Select the desired group.
3. In **Deactivation: Summary**, locate the relevant response category.
4. Click **Reactivate**.
5. Confirm the group-level reactivation.
6. Optionally confirm **system-wide reactivation**.

## Remove a Deactivated Contact from a Group

To remove a deactivated contact from the selected group:

1. Navigate to *Audience > Deactivated*.
2. Select the group.
3. Open the response category containing the contact.
4. Locate the contact and click **Remove**.

The contact is removed from the group.

The contact profile remains in the system.

Group-specific data such as attributes and subscription data is deleted.
