# Technical Requirements

Recommendation Tracking requires the Smart Pixel. All integration methods load and execute the Smart Pixel, including Tag Manager setups and Single-Page Applications. Only the delivery method changes – the underlying tracking logic remains the same.

The plugin supports the following environments:

- [Smart Pixel](/v1/docs/smart-pixel) version 6.12.1 or later (recommended). The extension is part of the Smart Pixel, so no separate download is needed.
- [Google Tag Manager (GTM)](/v1/docs/google-tag-manager-gtm)
- [Single-Page Applications (SPA)](/v1/docs/single-page-applications), including:
  - Angular
  - React / Next.js
  - Vue

### Smart Pixel versions and product statuses

Which product statuses are available depends on the Smart Pixel version.

| 6.8.0 to 6.11.x | `display-reco`, `click-reco` (no viewable status) |
| 6.12.0 | `display-reco`, `view-reco`, `click-reco` |
| 6.12.1 and later | `loaded-reco`, `viewable-reco`, `click-reco` |

## Browser Support

The extension uses the `querySelectorAll` method to find the recommendation elements and the `IntersectionObserver` API to detect viewable products. The viewable status therefore requires a browser that supports `IntersectionObserver`. All current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, and Opera do. Internet Explorer does not.
