    Article summary

    Goal

To reload a missing or expired image after the sendout of the message.

What to do if my Content Element has expired?

After the sendout, you may realize that an image in your email message from the content store has expired or is no longer in the store. Hence, nothing is displayed. In this case, you can contact your customer service representative for assistance. They will be able to replace the missing image.

Please be ready to provide your customer service representative with the following information:

    • ID of the old content store image

    • ID of the new content store image

    • Link/location of the image in the email message

    Prerequisites

    • You still have the original image. If it has since been deleted from your system, Mapp cannot recover it.

    • The image has been uploaded and stored in the Content Store (see Content Store).

    Procedure

    A) Identify the ID of the existing image in the Content Store

    1. In the Main Navigation menu, click Content Management > Content Store > All files.

    2. Search by owner, name, or date to locate the original image in the content store and identify its image ID.

    B) Upload the image again in the Content Store with a new ID

    1. In the main navigation menu, click Content Management > Content Store > All files.

    2. Click Create.

    3. In the input field Name, enter a name for the Content Element.

    4. Click Browse. A window opens where you can navigate to the file on your computer.

    5. Click the Open button. The path is displayed in the Upload file input field.

    6. Click Save.

    C) Contact your customer support representative

With both the old and new ID numbers, your Mapp project manager can replace the old ID with the new one so that the image is again displayed correctly when the message is read.
