Problem
After a message has been sent, an image is no longer displayed because the corresponding Content Store element has expired or was deleted.
Instead of the image, recipients see a broken image placeholder or no image at all.
Cause
Content Store elements can expire automatically if an expiration date is set or if automatic expiration is enabled.
Once an element is deleted from the system, the original image reference in already sent messages no longer resolves correctly.
Solution
If the original image file is still available, the issue can be resolved with the help of Mapp Support.
Step 1: Re-upload the image
Upload the original image again to the Content Store.
This creates a new Content Store ID.
Step 2: Collect the required information
Prepare the following details:
Old Content Store ID
New Content Store ID
Location of the image in the message
Step 3: Contact Support
Contact your Mapp Support representative and provide the collected information.
Support can replace the old Content Store ID with the new one at server level so that the image is displayed correctly again.
Important
The original image file must still be available. Deleted files cannot be recovered.
The replacement does not change the original message content; it updates the reference to the stored file.
