Configuring an Email Sendout

Goal
Configure the email’s sendout details. This is done in Step 3 - Configuration.
Navigation path
Crete New > Message > Email Message > HTML
Messages > Draft Messages > Email
Procedure
You can schedule a message sendout on the Configuration step of the message creation process.
Follow the message creation wizard until Step 2 - Content.
Click Prepare Sendout to move to Step 3 - Configuration.
In the Step 3 - Configuration window, define the following:
Group: Select the recipient group from the drop-down list.
(optional) Choose Sender Profile: select it from the drop-down list.
Channel: The channel will be pre-selected.
Action: Send to Group is the default option and should stay selected.
(optional) Segment: Select the sender profile
(optional) Best sendout time: Yes / No
Message Transport:
Immediately: Select this default option to send the message directly after completing the message composition process.
Schedule: Select to schedule the message for later sendout:
Enter the desired date and time of sendout.
Select the time zone.
Define Advanced Options (optional):
To limit recipients, expand the Advanced Options and configure the Sendout Size:
All Group Members: Send to all group members.
Percent of Members: Send to a random percentage of recipients. Enter the desired percentage.
Number of Group Members: Send to a specific number of recipients. Note: This option is not available if a selection is applied.
Select the message formats to include. Only formats with existing content can be selected.
Use the Message Category dropdown to assign a category.
Inbox Monitoring Test: Yes / No.
Click Check Message to proceed. You will be directed to the Summary tab to review and confirm the sendout details.
Result
Mapp Engage processes the message content in advance. At the scheduled sendout time, only message transport takes place, ensuring faster and more reliable delivery.
