# Segment

By using this filter, only the contacts who match the segment continue on the path. All other contacts exit the whiteboard.

## Configuration

| Field | Description |
| --- | --- |
| ​**Segment**​ | Defines the Segment. Only the contacts who match the segment continue on the path. All other contacts exit the whiteboard plan. You create segments in a separate area of the system. For more information, see [Segmentation Builder​](/v1/docs/segmentation-builder). |
