# Message

## Overview

Choose the channel for a new outbound message. The selection determines the subsequent creation steps and cannot be changed after the message is created.

## Message types

| Setting | Description |
| --- | --- |
| **Email Message** | Opens the email creation flow. Choose one of two methods: - **HTML**: [Email Message Creation: 1 - Type](/v1/docs/email-message-creation-type) - **CMS**: [New CMS Email Message](/v1/docs/new-email-message-window) |
| **AMP Email Message** | Starts the AMP email flow: [AMP Email Message Creation: 1 - Info](/v1/docs/amp-email-message-creation-info) |
| **Push Notification** | Starts the mobile push flow: [Push Notification Creation: 1 - Info](/v1/docs/push-message-information-window) |
