# Simplified Data Export

### Overview

Simplified Data Exports provide filtered event data related to your messages. Unlike Raw Data Exports, they include only the **first occurrence** of each selected event (for example, the first click or first open).

This approach reduces file size and complexity while still supporting reliable contact-level analysis.

Use Simplified Data Exports when you need structured behavioral data without the overhead of full event tracking.

### When to Use Simplified Data Export

Simplified Data Exports are ideal when:

- First interactions are sufficient for your analysis
- Smaller export files are preferred
- Data should be easier to process in external tools
- Contact-level reporting is the primary goal

### Key Characteristics

- Exports only the first instance of each selected event
- Supports flexible configuration of events and attributes
- Produces smaller and more manageable files than Raw Data Exports
- Requires an external tool (such as a BI platform or CRM) for analysis

### Available Data

You can configure the export to include:

- Event data (for example, sends, opens, clicks, conversions)
- Contact identifiers such as User ID or email address
- Group and message information
- Standard, custom, and member attributes

To ensure reliable analysis, include at least one unique contact identifier (User ID or Email).
