Step 4: Analyze Teaser Performance

Prev Next

Once your teaser data is being collected via the Teaser Tracking plugin, you can explore and evaluate the results directly in Mapp Intelligence.

Go to Navigation > Teaser Performance. There, you will find three dedicated analysis views that help you understand the impact of your onsite teasers and Marketing Automation campaigns:

Available Analyses

Teaser Name

This view lets you analyze the performance of individual teasers or dynamic content from Marketing Automation campaigns.

  • The teaser name comes from your plugin configuration (e.g., "Summer_Sale_Banner").

  • In campaigns, this reflects the content or product name displayed.

Use this view to compare teaser elements based on visibility, interaction, and outcome.

Teaser Position

This analysis shows where each teaser was placed (e.g., homepage, sidebar) and how well each position performs.

  • Placement names are defined in the plugin config.

  • Helps you identify the most effective positions for attention and conversions.

Teaser Performance

This view offers a structured drilldown of campaigns across four levels:

  1. Placement

  2. Campaign name

  3. Content or product

  4. Group type (e.g., campaign vs. control group)

It helps you evaluate performance across different campaign variants and audience groups.

Available Metrics

The following metrics are typically available in these views (depending on your tracking setup):

  • Teaser – Views

Number of times a teaser was displayed on a page (e.g., “Winter-Sale” shown 26,055 times).

  • Teaser – Clicks

Number of times the teaser was clicked (e.g., clicked 120 times).

  • Teaser CTR

Click-through rate: Percentage of views that resulted in clicks (e.g., 0.46 %).

  • Teaser – Engagement Avg

Average number of follow-up page views after a teaser click (e.g., 3.9 page impressions per click).

  • Teaser – Conversions

Number of conversions attributed to teaser interaction, depending on your attribution model.

  • Teaser Conversion Rate

Ratio of teaser interactions that led to a defined conversion or website goal.

You can freely combine these metrics with the dimensions described above and add them to analyses and reports.
