# Suppress System Message

## Goal

Suppress the sendout of a system message across all languages.

## Background Information

Mapp Engage provides default text-based messages for all existing system messages. You can choose to suppress any of these messages. When suppressed, the system message is not sent out under any circumstances.

> [!NOTE]
> If a system message is suppressed under the *Group (General)* tab, it is also suppressed for every group listed under *Group (Specific)*.
>
> Suppressing a message in one *Group (Specific)* entry does **not** affect other groups.

## Procedure

1. Go to *Messages > System Messages > System (General) / Group (General) / Group (Specific)*
2. Click ![Diagram illustrating a process with highlighted steps and arrows indicating flow direction.](https://cdn.document360.io/554b9b98-6720-4d8b-9919-c7b203d72648/Images/Documentation/threedots(1).png) *> Suppress* next to the system message you want to suppress.
  - The selected system message becomes grayed out and its status changes to “overridden system-wide.”
3. To reactivate a suppressed sendout, click ![Diagram illustrating a process with highlighted steps and arrows indicating flow direction.](https://cdn.document360.io/554b9b98-6720-4d8b-9919-c7b203d72648/Images/Documentation/threedots(1).png) *>**Reactivate Sendout*****at any time.
