# User Profile - Macro Status

**The macro status is used for the evaluation of the long-term reach of goals and shows the process from the first contact to the repeated purchase.**

"User Profile - Macro Status" always shows the visitor status a user had had on his last visit.

A visitor is always assigned to exactly one status (the one with the highest priority). The assignment is done overall visits.

The visitor keeps the highest reached status for his whole lifetime.

> To use this dimension over time is normally not useful, as there is no time reference.
