# Visitors - Visits - New vs. Returning

**The New vs. Returning analysis shows how many visits were performed by New Visitors, Returning Visitors, and unknown users.**

The following dimension and key figures are available in the analysis (click on link for detailed information):

| Dimension | Key figure |
| --- | --- |
| [New vs. Returning](/v1/docs/new-vs-returning) | [Visits](/v1/docs/metrics-visits) |

Often the formula "Visits %" is added to show the share of visits for these classes of visitors.
