# What does the error message 'The following accounts are not configured and will be discarded when saving the role' mean?

This likely means you left the **Account Configuration** blank. When you try to save the new role, you may get the error.

Settings must be defined in the **Account Configuration** section (such as Intelligence) for every account you add to a role.
