This job was previously called Transfer Member (U).
This job performs two actions: it removes a member from a source group and adds a member to a target group. The actions are preformed simultaneously.
The contacts for both actions are selected from the system-wide database with a mandatory selection.
Add: All contacts in the selection are added to the target group. This includes addresses who are not in the source group.
Remove: All contacts in the selection who are members of the source group are removed from the source group.
It is possible to restrict the contacts added to the target group to only those contacts who are currently members of the source group. To do so, it is necessary to add an additional group-based condition to the selection. Otherwise, the system will add all contacts in the system who match the selection criteria, even if they are not members of the source group.
If the owner is also a member of the source group and is included in the selection, he is removed from the source group and added to the target group. Members who are pending in the source group are added to the target group with the same status. Members who are on the source group blacklist are still added to the target group.
Recipients who are already a member of the target group, who are on the target group blacklist or who have the status pending in the target group are skipped. The system does not report an error in these cases. These recipients do not receive any notification message
Use Case
This job is used to transfer selected contacts from one group to another. This can be used, for example, to sort contacts into multiple groups for sendout. This job ensures that, when the job is finished, no address is in both groups.
