Goal
To change the global permissions granted to a system, contact or guest role in Engage.
Prerequisites
The role you wish to change is ranked lower than your own.
Your system role is granted the permission 113: System Administration: Change the permissions of lower system roles.
Background Information
Every user account in Engage is assigned a system role. This role assignment determines which permissions apply to the account.
System roles control:
Which system-wide Engage functions the user can use.
What system information the user can view.
You manage global permissions for contact and guest roles separately from system roles. System users can log into Engage and access a wide range of features. Contacts are generally restricted to features that let them manage their own account. Many of the permissions that are available to system users are not available to contacts.
To change global permissions for a system role, see System Roles.
To change global permissions for a contact or guest role, see Contact and Guest Roles.
