Delete a Group

Goal​

To delete a group.

Prerequisite​

The user who deletes the group is the owner of the group.

Background Information​

Deleting a group affects all actions related to the group (for example, links to the group from web pages). After the deletion, statistics for the group are no longer available. If the deleted group is included in any reports or a general system report, the reporting data for the group is lost. In the future, Mapp Engage will not create reports for the group (see ​Reports Overview (window)​​).

When a SuperGroup is deleted, the subgroups are no longer connected in any way. The subgroups are not deleted. Saved messages and statistics from the SuperGroup remain available in the former subgroups.

Procedure​

1. In the main navigation, click ​Audience > Group Management > Groups​.

2. Select ​Delete beside the group you want to delete.

   If the group is in use, you will receive a security prompt asking if you are sure you want to delete the group. If the group is not in use, there will be no prompt. The group will just be deleted
