    Article summary

    Goal

To enable message limitation for a group. When message limitation is enabled, both system-wide and contact-specific message limitations apply to sendouts in the group.

    Background Information

If you send messages to many different groups on any given day, it can be difficult to keep track of how many messages each contact has received. That's why Mapp Engage offers multiple tools for creating message limitations.

The number of messages that Mapp Engage sends to a contact in a certain time can be limited for a specific contact or system-wide. Once either of these limits has been reached, Mapp Engage stops sending messages to this contact. When the defined time period is over, the system automatically resumes sending messages.

The message limitation does not apply to system messages or single messages.

    Procedure

    1. In the Main Navigation, click AudienceGroups.
⇒  The Group Overview window opens.

    2. Click the  symbol next to the group.

    3. Click the Sendout Options tab.

    4. In the Message Limitation area, select the check box Consider Message Limitations

    5. Click the Save button.
