    Engage registers this event when a new contact joins a group.

    Engage registers this event when members are added to a group in the following ways:

    • Single members added to a group individually in the Engage interface.

    • Single members added to a group individually with an automation.

    • Members added with certain API methods. ​​

    Engage does not register this event when members are added to a group in these ways:

    • Members who are imported into a group in a CSV or XML file. These imports can be initiated on the Engage interface, with an automation or via the API.

    • Contacts who are added automatically to the group automatically as a result of the API methods ​messageSendSingle​ and ​messageSendTransactional​.

    • Members who are created with Control XML.

    Description

    Group

    • ​Any Group​: Engage registers this event when a new contact is added to any Engage group.

    • ​Specific Group​:  Engage registers this event when a new contact is added to one or more specific Engage groups. You can select up to 15 groups. To add a group, click the input field. To remove a group, click the   symbol.

    • ​Include only new Engage contacts​:  Engage only registers this event when a contact is added to the system for the first time. Contacts who exist in the system already (in any group) are excluded.

      • This option allows you to restrict the event to contacts who join the Engage system for the first time.

      • This option ensures that a contact can only go through this whiteboard one time.
