Link a Page or Action with a Push Notification

Goal
To enable an action after the contact taps the push notification or a button.
Background Information
You can use push notifications to trigger further activity on the device of your recipient.
For example, if the contact taps the notification, the app opens with a certain offer or the browser shows a certain landing page. You can also take the contact to a deep link when they click on a button.
Mapp Engage Variables in the Landing Pages category are for emails. Do not place these landing page placeholders in the body of your push notification. Push notifications do not support this type of link.
You can also create localized buttons so that your contacts get them in their preferred language. For more information, see Create Localized Button Sets.
Procedure
In the main navigation, click Create New > Message > Push Notification.
Step 1 - Info opens. The name is used to identify the push notification within the system and is not visible to your contacts. The push notification name has to be unique in the system. The de and also not visible to your contacts.
Click Next. Step 2 - Compose opens.
In the Message Action area, select what happens when a contact taps the notification. The default available message actions are:
Launch App: Opens the app that is associated with the push notification when a recipient taps the push notification. Launch App is the default setting for all push notifications.
Open Landing Page: Opens a specified web page when a recipient taps the push notification.
Open Deep Link: Opens a specific location within the app that is associated with the push notification. For example, a deep link to the About screen of the app is structured as follows: TDB://open=About. The format of the required URL depends on the mobile device.
Open App Store / Play Store: Opens the appropriate app store for download and installation of the app that is associated with the push notification.
In the Button Action area, select one of the button options and their actions. The default available button actions are:

To save your push notification as a draft, click Save. A system message confirms that your push notification is saved.
To configure your message sendout, click Next. Step 3 - Delivery opens.
To review your sendout configuration and send or schedule the push notification, click Next. Step 4 - Summary opens.
