This event executes a job when a system user logs into the system.
This includes:
Login in the user interface.
Login via API.
There is no special API method for this event. Every API method creates a login. See API Methods for Event-Based Automations.
General
Name | Defines the name of the automation. The name is used to identify the automation in the system. The maximum length is 100 characters. |
Description | Provides information about the automation. The description makes it easier to identify the automation in the system. |
Event | Selects the type of event that, when combined with a job, forms the automation. Every time this event occurs, the system executes the dependent job. The job is defined in the Edit Event-based Job window. |
Recommended Combinations
The following combinations are recommended. It is possible to create other combinations, as well, but not all combinations of events and jobs result in meaningful system behavior.

Logged on to System (C) | Store Data in Profile Attribute (C) | This automation stores information in a system user's profile when he logs into the system. For example, store the date and time of login. |
Define Event
This area defines the specific parameters of the event.
Setting | Description |
---|---|
System User | This field limits the event to logins from a specific system user. For example, the event is limited to logins of the designated API user. If this field is blank, all logins to the system fire the event. |
Parameters | These fields are not appropriate for this event. To limit the event, use a selection. |
