This includes: - Login in the user interface. - Login via API. There is no special API method for this event. Every API method creates a login. See [API Methods for Event-Based Automations](/v1/docs/api-methods-for-event-based-automations). ## General | Name | Defines the name of the automation. The name is used to identify the automation in the system. The maximum length is 100 characters. | | --- | --- | | Description | Provides information about the automation. The description makes it easier to identify the automation in the system. | | Event | Selects the type of event that, when combined with a job, forms the automation. Every time this event occurs, the system executes the dependent job. The job is defined in the [**Edit Event-based Job**](/v1/docs/edit-event-window) window. | ## Recommended Combinations The following combinations are recommended. It is possible to create other combinations, as well, but not all combinations of events and jobs result in meaningful system behavior. | Event | Job | Description | | --- | --- | --- | | Logged on to System (C) | Store Data in Profile Attribute (C) | This automation stores information in a system user's profile when he logs into the system. For example, store the date and time of login. | ## Define Event This area defines the specific parameters of the event. | Setting | Description | | --- | --- | | System User | This field limits the event to logins from a specific system user. For example, the event is limited to logins of the designated API user. If this field is blank, all logins to the system fire the event. | | Parameters | These fields are not appropriate for this event. To limit the event, use a selection. | ## Actions The following actions are available: - **Edit Job:** This button saves the changes and opens the [**Edit Event-Based Job** window****](/v1/docs/edit-event-based-job-window).
